We will support Qadri for the sake of justice

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said his party will support Dr Tahirul Qadri only for the sake of justice and that they had no plan to enter into any political alliance with the Pakistan Awami Tehreek. The PTI chief told a press conference at his Banni Galla residence that the culprits involved in the Model Town tragedy must be punished and the responsible should be taken to task. He condemned the arrest of PAT workers. “The brutal action we have witnessed in democratic government run by the PML-N was not taken even during the dictatorships,” he said. On military operation in North Waziristan, the PTI chief demanded the federal government release an amount of Rs 6 billion urgently to the KP government to make arrangements for the internally displaced persons. He suggested that each family should be provided Rs 21,000 instead of Rs 7,000 announced by the federal government. He demanded that no travelling ban be imposed by any provincial government on the IDPs. “They are also Pakistanis,” the PTI chief appealed to Sindh and Balochistan, who have reportedly put a ban on the entry of IDPs. He appealed to the army to halt aerial strikes to allow evacuation of IDPs.
