THARPARKAR – Seven more children on Saturday died of malnutrition in Tharparkar, raising the death toll 101 since the start of the current year. Five toddlers, including Al’had Somro, Zeeshan, Javed, Kawita and Hanesh Kumar, reportedly died at Mithi Civil Hospital and two at Umarkhot Civil Hospital. According to the doctors at Mithi hospitals, more than 100 children were provided medical assistance and two of them were referred to Hyderabad because of their precarious condition. Meanwhile, the family of Kawita, who was brought to emergency ward of Mithi Hospital, alleged that doctors’ negligence led to their daughter’s death.
