PAF Public School Sargodha celebrates annual parents day


SARGODHA: The Annual Parents Day was celebrated at PAF Public School, Sargodha on Saturday. Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Syed Ather Hussain Bukhari, who is a Sargodhian himself, was the chief guest.
Air Vice Marshal (r) Sajid Habib, principal of the PAF Public School, presented annual report. The chief guest gave away prizes to the winning houses and individuals. Cadet Zain Ahmed was given Academic Colour for overall excellence in academics, while Cadet Shehryar Ahmed was declared the best athlete of the Year. Chigwell shield for sports was awarded to Mirage House. Chairmen Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee trophy for co-curricular activities was won by the Attacker House, while Chief of Air Staff trophy for academics was shared by Mirage and Sabre House. Mirage House lifted the coveted Quaid-e-Azam shield for being overall Champion House of the Year.
Later, the students of the school presented an impressive gymnastics and martial arts display and a well-synchronised PT show. The school also put up an attractive aero modelling display in which young boys manoeuvred radio-controlled aircraft models in the air. All the guests and parents applauded the young Sargodians for displaying such an impressive performance in all these fields. A large number of serving and retired defence personnel, senior bureaucrats and parents of these students were present on the occasion.
PAF Public School Sargodha, situated near PAF Base Mushaf, is regarded as one of the best educational institutions of the country. The school inducts young boys of grade 8 and they study there till the completion of their FSc. After graduating from this institution, these students either join PAF Academy, Risalpur, or complete their higher education from different universities and excel in various walks of life.
