LONDON – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that Pakistan needs honest and sincere leadership from the poor and middle class and the people who are facing problems can pull the nation out of quagmire of problems.
Addressing office-bearers and his party workers in Islamabad over the telephone, he said that Pakistan was rich in natural resources. “Foreign companies reap benefits of these natural resources because our successive government has been awarding contracts to them to explore oil, gas, gold and other mineral deposits,” he said.
He pointed out that Pakistan was deprived of its benefits. ''We would have to work for the development of Pakistan and make such policies which should benefit the country,'' he said. He told his party workers of Rawalpindi that they should strive hard for spreading the message of the movement to ensure rights of deprived people.
