ISLAMABAD – Pakistan People's Party (PPP) young leader Bilawal Bhutto on Saturday appealed to all political segments to hold a ceasefire.
In a statement issued on the 61st birth anniversary of slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal called on all political forces to suspend the politicising of issues and show unity in support of the armed forces fighting terrorists in the tribal areas.
"There should be no space for partisan politics at this time. All political forces should be united in supporting our armed forces and working to help internally displaced persons,” he stated. Bilawal urged civilians to donate blood for the soldiers fighting in the tribal areas and to provide assistance to the displaced persons.
The PPP leader said that his party was mulling the formation of a donation fund for the relief and rehabilitation of internally displaced persons.
