PESHAWAR – Three people have been killed and two injured in a rocket attack from Afghanistan. According to reports six rockets have been fired from across the Pak-Afghan border which targeted Peshawar. Sources say two rockets hit a bakery in the provincial capital. Pakistan and Afghanistan share a sensitive and porous border, with cross-border terrorism and smuggling being major issues from that region. These rocket attacks come a day after Bacha Khan University came under attack in Charsadda in which 21 students and staff members were killed. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the perpetrators of the Charsadda attack came from Afghanistan. Pakistani government and military leadership have agreed to raise the issue with the Afghan government.
