ISLAMABAD – Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League president MNA Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the Pakistan People's Party may announce to support sit-in of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) during the next 72 hours.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that the People's Party would take the right decision at the right time. He also said that the prevailing political impasse would be resolved by Sunday. He said that whatever happens as a result of prevailing political impasse, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would have to lose.
Due to inflexible attitude of the government, twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi were completely sealed, he said. Rasheed said that the government has decided to attack Lal Haveli, his residence in Rawalpindi. “Martial law is never imposed by fulfilling anyone's wish,” he said. He said that the ‘third force’ wants political solution to the current political stalemate.
