QUETTA – A judge of Environmental Protection Tribunal was shot dead by unidentified armed men here in his office on the Smuggle Road on Friday.
Police sources said that the armed men opened fire at Judge Sakhi Sultan in Smuggle Road area, leaving him seriously injured. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The injured judge succumbed to his wounds on the way to hospital.
"He was serving as chairman of the Environment Protection Tribunal,” a senior official said. The police had launched search operation to trace the suspects.
