ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) again toughened its stance regarding holding of talks with the government, saying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will have to resign first.
In a press statement, PTI’s Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the talks would begin only after the resignation of Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister. “We will not hold talks unless our first condition is fulfilled,” he said.
Earlier, Qureshi had said that PTI was willing to hold talks on six points. He said that his party workers would not advance towards the Prime Minister’s House or any other government building. He said that his party workers had remained peaceful and would remain so.
He also urged workers of the Pakistan Awami Tehrik to be peaceful and refrain from any violent step.
