PESHAWAR – Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said that the government has accepted all demands of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan except the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that he was not in favour of assemblies being dissolved and if this happened it would become the norm to bring change with the show of power. Siraj emphasised that democracy and the constitution were at risk and the government and PTI would have to come to the table for dialogue.
The Jamaat chief stressed that there was no time for delays and a truce had to be reached. Decisions should be taken in the national interest, he said. According to the Jamaat chief, the power of decision-making had shifted to Rawalpindi from Islamabad.
