Girls clinch 5 out of 6 top positions in BA/BSc exams

LAHORE – Girls outsmart boys as they clinched 5 out of the 6 top positions in the Punjab University BA/BSc Annual Examination 2014 results showing a pass percentage of 37.69 declared here on Wednesday.

In the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) examination, Ist position was bagged by Saba Khalid (Roll No 21202) of Punjab College of Science, Civil Lines Gujranwala with 700/800 marks, Second position by Atiqa Fakhar (Roll No 128331) of VIP Girls College Talahgang Chakwal with 682/800 marks while the 3rd position was won by Sumiya Munir (Roll No 66378) of Punjab College of Science, Ferozepur Road Lahore with 670 marks.

In the Bachelor of Arts (BA) examination, the top 3 positions fell to private candidates including Ayesha Mairaj (Roll No 64893) from District Lahore with 680/800 marks, Nayab Ramzan (Roll No 11061) from District Faisalabad with 666/800 marks and Shahbaz Ahmad (Roll No 76705) from District Sheikhupura with 664/800 marks respectively.

According to the statistics, a total of 133223 boys and girls appeared in BA/BSc examination out of which 50211 candidates succeeded. The medal-awarding ceremony in the honour of BA/Bsc position holders would be held at the Al Raazi Hall New Campus PU on August 21 (Thursday) tomorrow at 9 am.
