Lashari murder case: Forensic report obtained

Police say accused used three different weapons, fired 26 bullets

KARACHI - A forensic report of weapons used in the killing of Suleman Lashari in the Defence Housing Authority, a few days ago has been obtained.


According to police, the accused who are in police custody used three different weapons and fired 26 bullets altogether, while the complainant and his security guards fired 10 shots. The police further said that the accused, Salman Abro, fired 12 bullets from the SMG of a policeman, while the policeman who was killed in the attack fired seven shots from his rifle.


Another arrested policeman Maqbool fired seven bullets from his SMG. On the basis of mobile phone record, the police stated that the slain Suleman Lashari and Salman Abro were not friends. It is pertinent to mention here that Salman Abro along with police personnel allegedly broke into the residence of Suleman Lashari and shot him dead.


A policeman was also killed while Abro sustained injuries in retaliatory fire.
