LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party leader Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has accused the Punjab government of committing acts of terrorism in the province by using police force.
Talking to media at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore on Wednesday, Wattoo said Punjab Police under Sharifs’ rule killed eight people just to remove barriers.
The PPP leader criticised the good governance claims of the PML-N leadership and said he himself had successfully carried out anti-encroachment operation during his tenure as the chief minister of Punjab in early 90’s.
Manzoor Wattoo was leading a PPP delegation to Jinnah Hospital to enquire after those injured in the Model Town incident on Tuesday.
Wattoo also denounced attack on Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s female MNA Begum Tahira Asif in Lahore and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
