BANNU: Former Prime Minister and central leader of PPP Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday called for making arrangements to ensure early repatriation of the IDPs to their native areas. He said said PPP would extend all possible help and assistance in hours of trials and tribulations. He said the entire nation should help the internally displaced people (IDPs) of North Waziristan. He recalled that the PPP government had ensured facilities to 2.5 million IDPs of Swat and Malakand and repatriated them to their native areas in ninety days. Brigade Commander Mukhtiar and Commissioner Bannu Syed Mohsin Shah briefed the PPP delegation about the arrangements made for the IDPs in the relief camps, registration process and distribution of cash compensation and ration. Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid, former federal minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira and other PPP leaders were present on this occasion.
