World Bank to provide funds for Dasu Dam

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the construction work on the proposed Dasu Dam costing four billion dollars would start shortly.


Talking to World Bank Country Director Rachid Benmessaoud, he said that the project would be completed with the financial cooperation of the World Bank. The chief minister thanked the World Bank for financially assisting Pakistan in the fields of energy, education, health, agriculture, irrigation and social development.


On the ocassion, the World Bank country director expressed his satisfaction over the pace of work on the on-going development projects and assured the Punjab government of its cooperation for different projects.
