LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday announced a three-day mourning in the province over the martyrdom of Home Minister Col (r) Shuja Khanzada and loss of other human lives in a bombing in Attock. Shahbaz strongly condemned the blast on the house of Khanzada in Attock. He expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Provincial Minister Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada, DSP Shaukat Shah and the loss of other precious lives and sympathised with the grieving families. On hearing the news about the tragic incident, the chief minister ordered Punjab minister Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan to reach the site for supervising relief activities and use all available resources for evacuating the injured buried under the debris. The chief minister also ordered the provincial administration and health authorities to provide all out treatment facilities to the injured. The chief minister also sought a report from the Punjab inspector general in this regard. He said that the elements involved would be immediately arrested and brought to justice. Shahbaz said the country had lost a patriotic Pakistani. He said he could not describe the grief over the martyrdom of Khanzada in words. He said Col (R) Shuja Khanzada was his close companion and his sacrifice in war against terrorism would not go to waste. The chief minister said Col (r) Shuja Khanzada was an honest, hardworking and courageous man. Shahbaz Sharif said the war against terrorism would continue till the complete elimination of terrorists.
