LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Q president and former short-term prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said they are not demanding resignation of the prime minister through the force of gun but it is demand of the masses.
In an interview, Shujaat said that the PML-N leadership was left with no option but to resign. He said the ruling party has not fulfilled a single commitment made to the people and as a result tens of thousands of people have come out on roads.
He said that the demand from Nawaz Sharif to resign was according to constitution and law. He said that they never talked about derailment of democracy and imposition of martial law and instead they believe in real democracy and rule of the people.
To a question, Shujaat said that ultimately Nawaz Sharif would have to surrender to the demand of the people and resign from his office.
