Interior Ministry summons additional security men for Islamabad

Nisar says govt to ensure security of all institutions in 'red zone'

 ISLAMABAD – After threats of entry into the 'red zone' by Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri, the Ministry of Interior Affairs has summoned another 10,000 security personnel in Islamabad.

According to reports, these additional security personnel have been called from different parts of Punjab. With the arrival of the new reinforcement, the total deployment would reach 40,000. These personnel would be deployed in the 'red zone' and surrounding areas.

In a statement on Sunday, Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali said it was duty of the government to ensure security of all government institutions in the 'red zone' and this would be ensured under all circumstances.
