KARACHI: The Managing Director of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB), Najam Alam Siddiqui, met with a Japanese business delegation led by Honourary Investment Counselor of Japan Hironao Takahashi at the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board Committee Room on Wednesday.
The Japanese team briefed about the project of Japan Special Economic Zone being established by Japanese investment on a 250 acre of land near Dhabeji.
Siddiqui assured the Japanese team of his full cooperation and assistance and appreciated the long term friendship of Japan and Pakistan.
Takahashi stressed upon the need of productive action on discussion between Pakistan-Japan business communities.
He said that he was determined to increase trade and encourage & enhance foreign investment in Sindh and specially Karachi which is the economy generation engine of Pakistan.
Deputy managing director planning, chief engineers, project directors and other officers of water board were also present on the occasion.
