LAHORE – A very young Microsoft certified computer specialist Mehroz Yawar on Friday called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who gifted him a laptop for achieving the honour at the age of six and a half years.
Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed and mother of Mehroz Yawar were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that Mehroz Yawar has won laurels for Pakistan by becoming a computer specialist at a very young age.
He said that the student has proved her mettle through hard work and talent. Pakistanis were second to none in abilities, he said, and congratulated the student and his mother and said that the talented children like Mehroz Yawar were precious assets and the entire nation is proud of them.
An interesting dialogue took place between Shahbaz and Yawar. The chief minister asked the student about the courses for the Microsoft certification. Mehroz Yawar replied that there were IT courses. To a question, the student replied that he wants to serve the people as he has seen the chief minister among the people whether it was rain or sunny days.
The chief minister said that he reads foreign newspapers and journals on Ipad. Yawar said he was also preparing for a new course of Microsoft on net and would take examination next year. Shahbaz expressed good wishes for the child.
