NEW YORK - Former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that allegations levelled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan about rigging in the last general elections are baseless and absurd.
He said this while talking to the members of the Pakistani community during a meeting here at the residence of Dr Abdul Majid. He exchanged views with overseas Pakistanis on different issues. “I had no connection with private Geo television on this count,” he said.
The former chief judge dilated upon the measures taken and reforms introduced in the judiciary during his tenure and said that the judiciary has emerged a stronger institution now in Pakistan.
