ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the assassination of Hendry Masih, a Christian member of the Balochistan Assembly from National Party (NP), by his own guard in Quetta on Saturday.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family, Zardari expressed grief and sorrow over the incident and demanded the provincial government to investigate the incident so that motives behind the murder could be exposed.
He expressed the hope that the suspect would be arrested soon and brought to justice. He also prayed for early recovery of the killed legislator’s nephew, who was also injured in the attack.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also condemned the killing of Hendry Masih.
In a condolence message, Bilawal expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and urged the Balochistan government to thoroughly investigate the case in order to unearth real motives behind the killing and punish the culprits involved in the incident directly and indirectly.
