FDMA DG Arshad Khan removed

PESHAWAR: FATA Disaster Management (FDMA) Director General Arshad Khan has been removed from his position. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi removed the FDMA DG for failure to provide adequate facilities to internally displaced persons (IDPs). According to a government notification, Governor Abbasi took the decision when he met with Waziristan Chief Malik Nasirullah during his recent visit to Bannu. Nasirullah complained that the IDPs were facing difficulties in receiving funds via mobile SIMs and several people were unable to register. Establishment Secretary, Abid Majeed has been given additional charge of FDMA DG until a new appointment is made.
