AML leader says govt ‘initiated’ civil war

GUJRANWALA – Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) President MNA Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that the government has initiated a civil war after activists of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N attacked participants of the 'Azadi March' in the presence of police in in Gujranwala.

Now, the army would have to interfere, he said while talking to journalists here on Friday. The outspoken politician said that that the Elite Force duty was changed when the convoy was passing from Sharif Pura area in Gujranwala. “I was telling PTI chairman Imran Khan about this situation that suddenly attack started on us,” he added.
