KARACHI – Pakistan People’s Party leader and former Interior Affairs minister Senator Rehman Malik has demanded more security at airports after a recent late night attack on the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
Talking to journalists at the airport here on Saturday, Rehman said that such types of the attacks were not good for Pakistan’s reputation. He hoped that the government would learn from its mistakes and would not repeat it in future.
To a question, he said there should be a thorough investigation into the attack. The former minister also raised question about Indian arms that are being used in Pakistan for terrorism.
Also, another PPP leader Nafisa Shah said that the federal government must take responsibility of the airport attack. She said that Karachi’s future seemed like that of Waziristan, Quetta and Peshawar.
