Four killed, seven injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Four people were killed and seven others injured in different violence incidents in the city on Friday.
Kareem Jan, 28, son of Abdul Samad, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Pak Colony. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.
Aslam, aged 50, was shot dead by unknown armed motorcyclists in Orangi Town No-04. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for postmortem examination.
Separately, a man was killed by unidentified armed men near Edhi Ambulance Centre in Orangi Town No 13. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.
The body of a man, Asif, 55, son of Hussain, was found from a house at Mehmoodabad in Junejo Town. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
Four people, including a woman and a child, were injured by unidentified armed bike riders in Lyari. The injured were rushed to CHK for treatment. They were identified as Shazia, 30, daughter of Khadim; Abdul Wahid, 10, son of Asif and Junaid, 20, son of Ghulam Ahmed. Two men, Salman, 40, son of Badaruddin, and Taj Muhammad, 40, son of Nawab Khan, were shot at and injured while resisting a robbery bid near Eidgah in Nazimabad. The injured were rushed to ASH for treatment. A 25-year-old man, Hassan, son of Gulab, was injured when unknown robbers opened fire on him while resisting a robbery bid in Garden area. The injured was brought to CHK for treatment. Ppi Also on Friday, a newborn baby was found dead from a pile of garbage in PIB Colony of the city. Chhipa rescue source said the body was dumped in garbage and its volunteers found it after the locals informed them about it. They shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. The body was laid to rest by Chhipa volunteers at Mewashah graveyard as no one could identify it.
