MULTAN – Security has been put on high alert at the International Airport in Multan after Civil Aviation Authority received terror threats.
A few days ago, unidentified persons had threatened to hijack the airplanes leaving the airport after blown up. Placing the security on high alert, airport authorities have increased contingents of the Airport Security Force (ASF) and have placed snipers on the buildings.
Sources said that the luggage of the passengers was also being strictly monitored. According to ASF sources, terror threats were also received in airports of Peshawar, Quetta, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahimyar Khan and Sukkur.
