Govt beefs up two judges’ security after threats

LAHORE – The Punjab government on Saturday tuned up the security of the two respectable judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) after being threatened for dire consequences.


The court sources said that both the judges had received threats on telephone from unidentified persons, while threatening letters have also been received from the banned outfits. Following the threats, the Punjab government has increased the security of the respectable judges.


The Lahore High Court Bar Association has demanded taking serious notice of the hurling of threats to the judges.
