LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the government is ready to consider demands of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to resolve the current situation.
Talking to a private TV channel, he asked PTI chairman Imran Khan to come to the negotiating table in the larger national interest. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was ready to meet Imran Khan, he said.
He lamented that Imran Khan joined hands with Tahirul Qadri for a so-called revolution to create anarchy in Pakistan. He said there was no justification for long march and sit-ins at a time when the armed forces were fighting against terrorists to restore peace.
