HYDERABAD: Three people, including a woman, were burnt alive and two others received burns when an oil tanker caught fire after hitting two other trucks near Luni Kot on Super Highway on Thursday.
According to Motorway Police, the driver of an oil tanker coming from Karachi first hit a heavy truck while overtaking and then rammed into another parked truck as a result of which all three vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the oil tanker identified as Aijaz Ahmed and a woman named Sakina and an unknown person sitting in the cabin were burnt alive while two others identified as Iftikhar and Rashid, who were on board another truck, received burns. The Edhi ambulances rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies and injured persons to Civil Hospital in Hyderabad.
