Govt won’t let anyone challenge writ of state

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday that holding protests within legal and constitutional parameters was a right of every one but the government would not allow anyone to challenge writ of the state. He said it was the duty of the state to protect its citizens. He regretted that Tahirul Qadri was not ready to accept the democratically elected government and courts working under the constitution. He said youngsters were being asked to submit their CVs with PAT Secretariat for jobs, which will be given to them after coming into power. The minister appreciated Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq for making sincere efforts to resolve the issue. He expressed the hope that the efforts of reconciliation and unity would bear fruit and politicians would succeed in giving the message of unity on the Independence Day. Rashid remarked Tahirul Qadri has the freedom to speak, yet he claims to be imprisoned.
