‘Qadri will soon leave for Canada’

Minister says Awami Tehreek leader has no vote bank in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek chairman Tahirul Qadri will soon leave for Canada along with his revolution.


In a statement issued here on Thursday, the minister said that Qadri was calling for electoral reforms, but was not interested in contesting elections, as he has no vote bank in Pakistan. He said whose agenda Tahirul Qadri was implementing by not obeying law and the constitution.


The minister said that the government was focusing on building mega power generation projects to overcome energy crisis in Pakistan. He also said that China was investing $32 billion in Pakistan in various fields, which would help strengthen the economy.
