ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has asked the members of parliament and the provincial assemblies to submit yearly statements of their assets and liabilities including those of their spouses and dependents latest by September 30.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, this is a mandatory requirement under Section 42A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 and Section 25A of the Senate (Elections) Act, 1975.
The members of the Senate, the National Assembly and the provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are required to submit the said statements to the ECP.
The prescribed forms are available from the Election Commission Secretariat.
