Chinese embassy employees donate Rs 5 million for IDPs





ISLAMABAD: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan presented a cheque of Rs. 5 million from the employees of Chinese embassy in Pakistan, to the Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions for the Prime Minister fund for IDPs. Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidung Wednesday presented the cheque to Federal Minister for SAFRON Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch during a meeting, said a press release issued here. The minister briefed the Chinese delegation about the current situation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). He said that government is fully committed to provide relief to affected people and further one billion rupees have been released to facilitate IDPs. The Chinese ambassador expressed his support and full cooperation to the IDPs of North Waziristan. He said people and the government of China stood by the people of Pakistan in every challenge. The ambassador assured that the Chinese government will fully cooperate with Pakistan to overcome the challenge of IDPs.
