Zardari condemns attacks, urges nation to rise up against terrorists

ISLAMABAD – Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Monday strongly condemned terror attacks at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, pilgrim bus on Taftan as well as on security convoy in Miran Shah in which dozens of security personnel, innocent citizens and airport staff were martyred.

In a statement issued here, he said that there were no strong words for condemnation of this series of heinous attacks in which brave soldiers and innocent civilians have been martyred and injured. These attacks will never weaken the nation's resolve to fight these barbaric terrorists till their last defeat, he said.

“Our valiant forces have been offering supreme sacrifices in the war against terrorism,” he said, adding that the nation salutes them. He urged the nation to unite and rise up against these vicious and wicked terrorists that were out to destroy Pakistan.

Zardari prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and early recovery of injured and offered sympathies to the bereaved families.
