India wants urgent fight against terror

External Affairs Ministry says Karachi attack underlines magnitude of danger

NEW DELHI – Condemning the terror attack on the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, India’s External Affairs Ministry on Monday said that the strike underlines the magnitude of danger posed by terrorism, which must be fought urgently and comprehensively without making any exception.

“The attack on the Karachi airport by 10 suicide bombers must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. The attack underlines the magnitude of danger that is posed by terrorism,” ministry’s spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin told the media here.

“If left unchecked, terrorism will continue to hinder efforts to promote economic development, overcome poverty and provide people better quality of lives,” he said, adding that there can be no justification for any act of terrorism. “This scourge must be fought urgently and comprehensively, without making any exception,” he said.
