‘Main suspect’ of anti-judiciary banners arrested

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Inspector General of Police Aftab Cheema told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that the main suspect of the anti-judiciary banners that were displayed in the Red Zone of the capital has been arrested and being interrogated.
A three-member bench of the top court headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja heard the case and remarked that no one will be allowed to use derogatory remarks against the judiciary. He said it was surprising that a person displayed anti-judiciary posters and banners in the federal capital and no one noticed him. Aftab Cheema informed the apex court that the accused has admitted that he is a journalist and a member of a party named Farzand-e-Islam, which was headed by Khalid Khawaja, who had been murdered.
