IED blast hits police mobile van


PESHAWAR: A police head constable sustained injuries when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeting his mobile van went off with a low intensity blast on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday morning. According to the police, the blast occurred in Sufaid Dheri an area in the jurisdiction of Pishtakhara Police Station, where a police mobile van came under attack on Dora Road. As a result, the Head Constable Ejaz Khan sustained injuries on his hand and was shifted to the hospital. The van was damaged. Bomb Disposal Squad official said about five kilograms of explosive material was used in the explosion. No group has claimed responsibility of the attack.
