LAHORE – Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Justice Omer Atta Bandial has observed power stealing has hinted at incompetence of the government and latter has not discharged its obligation in preserving electricity and curbing power fleecing and over billing.
The chief justice gave these remarks during hearing of power load shedding case here on Thursday. Justice Bandial remarked new projects would become functional after next four years. “What job is being done now? People are enduring 14 hours long power outage,” he said, adding that load shedding was disastrous for the society.
“We are giving last chance to government for ensuring uninterrupted power supply,” the chief justice remarked. The court will safeguard rights of people on its own, he said. The government should present its policy within four days, he ordered.
