PESHAWAR – A police head-constable sustained injuries when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeting its mobile van, went with a huge bang in outskirts of the City here on Tuesday morning.
According to Police, the blast occurred in Sufaid Dheri area in the limit of Pishtakhara police station where a police mobile van came under attack on Dora Road. As result, head constable Ejaz Khan sustained injuries on hand and was shifted to hospital. The van was damaged.
Bomb Disposal Squad official said about five kilograms of explosive material was used in the explosion. Police rushed to the spot and started investigation. No group has claimed responsibility of the attack. Search operation in the area has been started.
