ISLAMABAD - President Mamnoon Hussain will pay a four-day official visit to Nigeria from Monday.
During his stay, the president will have one-on-one meeting with his Nigerian counterpart Goodluck Jonathan which will be followed by delegation level talks. Senior officials including ministers and governors of different states of Nigeria will also call on the president. This will be the first presidential visit from Pakistan to Nigeria in the last three decades.
He expressed the confidence that the visit will give a new impetus to trade and economic relations with Nigeria. During the visit, leaders of both the countries will discuss ways and means to further strengthen relations in diverse fields, particularly trade and economy. Mamnoon Hussain will also address business forums in Abuja and Lagos.
Foreign Office says trade relations have improved between the two countries over the last few years.
