ISLAMABAD – Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali on Monday started his official work from the Punjab House, as he avoided attending his office despite an understanding with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to sources, the interior minister has decided to operate from the Punjab House until all his reservations are removed in line with the assurances of the prime minister. On Monday, Nisar held separate meetings with the officers of the Interior Ministry in the Punjab House.
The minister issued directives pertaining to important matter. The sources also said that among other reasons, Nisar had differences on the appointment of Shahid Khan as interior secretary without consulting him.
