ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday administered oath of the office to Justice Nasir ul Mulk as the chief justice of Pakistan at a ceremony held here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, members of the federal cabinet, parliamentarians, services chiefs, members of diplomatic community, senior officers and outgoing chief justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani attended the oath-taking ceremony.
Later, Justice Mulk bids farewell to Justice Jillani at the Chief Justice of Pakistan House at Islamabad. Justice Mulk laid the foundation of good tradition by bidding farewell to the former chief justice of Pakistan who laid down the robes of his office on July 5, 2014 (Saturday). Both the dignitaries also exchanged pleasantries.
