QUETTA: Five people were injured in a grenade attack on a shop in the Usta Muhammad area of Jaffarabad District on Saturday.
The district police officer (DPO) said that unknown bikers hurled a grenade at a leather shop near clock tower and fled. “Four people sitting inside the shop and a passer-by sustained wounds,” he added.
The injured identified as Qadir Ali, Munir Ahmed, Majeed Khan, Gulam Sarwar and Riaz Ahmed were taken to hospitals.
The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained but, according to police, it might be a targeted attack. No group has claimed the responsibility as yet.
