ISLAMABAD – In recognition of the services of Dr Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer, the outgoing ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, in strengthening relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has recommended award of the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Medal to the envoy by the president.
He said this while talking to Dr Al-Ghadeer who called on him at the PM House here on Thursday. The prime minister appreciated efforts of Dr Al-Ghadeer for further strengthening the already close and fraternal bonds between the two countries. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close relations that are marked by common perceptions on all issues of mutual interest at regional and international level.
Nawaz said that the two countries have always stood by each other in testing times and the people of Pakistan deeply value relations with the Saudi Kingdom. He said that there was a need to further enhance bilateral trade commensurate with the strong fraternal bonds that exist between the two countries.
Prime Minister Nawaz conveyed prayers for the good health and long life of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz as well as for progress and prosperity of the people of the kingdom. He wished the outgoing Saudi ambassador good health and prosperity and all the best in future official assignments.
