ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that the government and the Pakistan Army are on the same page regarding the ongoing operation in North Waziristan Agency.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that the government wanted to initiate dialogue process with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri to settle their issues. He said negotiatoions were the only way through which the two parties could remove their reservations.
He said Tahirul Qadri was an undemocratic person, but it was expected that Imran Khan would have been playing a role to strengthen the democratic system, which he was not. He said both PTI and PAT leaders were levelling allegations against the government without any evidence.
The minister said a judicial commission was probing the Model Town incident and stern action would be taken against the responsible in the light of its report.
