LAHORE – Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that the credit of change in the atmosphere of Punjab University goes to Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, who has provided independent environment to the teachers, employees and students. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of annual sports gala of College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES) here on Thursday. Addressing the ceremony, the minister said that only those nations prospered who learnt lesson from their past. He said that Pakistan’s youth was its future and our students were showing their outstanding talent in the world. He said that development indicators of Pakistan had improved manifold while international financial institutions had improved rating of the country on the basis of performance of the government in all sectors. He congratulated Dr Sajid Rashid on successfully organising the sports gala. Dr Sajid said that besides improving college’s academic standard and signing various MoUs in the fields of environment and energy with other institutions, the college administration had also focused on co-curricular activities. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, CEES Principal Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, Controller Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Secretary Academic Staff Association Dr Mahboob Hussain, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. The competitions of badminton, table tennis, cricket, football, chess, rally race, tug-of-war and fun games were held in the sports gala. The first position was clinched by the students of BS Honors Environmental Sciences 4th semester’s students while students of 8thsemester and 6th semester obtained 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
