Ex-PM, Tareen indicted in rental power case

ISLAMABAD – An accountability court on Tuesday indicted former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, former Finance Affairs minister Shaukat Tareen among 11 accused in the rental power projects case.

Former former federal secretaries Ismail Qureshi and Shahid Rafi were also among those indicted in the case of the alleged corruption in the Sahiwal and Piranghaib rental power projects. During the hearing, accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir dismissed pleas filed by Tareen and Qureshi and requested that their names be dropped from the case.
