QUETTA: Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that no apathy will be tolerated in the establishment of new colleges and land disputes of Khuzdar and Loralai colleges will be resolved within a month. He said this while addressing a convention of principals of medical colleges on Wednesday. Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch and senior officials of health and finance departments were present. The chief minister directed the Finance Department to resolve the financial issues of colleges on a war footing. He directed issuance of Rs 50 million each for all the three colleges and directed the authorities to expel outsiders from hostels.
The chief minister said that new vacancies should be created for new medical colleges, directing the health minister to present a progress report in this regard on a monthly basis.
He also directed the Revenue Department and Zhob commissioner to solve all of the issues regarding the Lorali College land dispute at the earliest.
Meanwhile, chairing a high-level meeting on security, the chief minister said that all resources would be utilised to get Ziarat Judicial Magistrate Jam Saka Dashti and Irfan Weerani, of Agha Laboratory, released. He also sought progress report pertaining to recovery of the abducted persons with directions to authorities concerned to bring the kidnappers to the justice.
