Arsalan resigns as BoI vice chairman

QUETTA – Arsalan Iftikhar has voluntarily stepped down from the position of vice chairman of the Board of Investment of Balochistan.

Arsalan, the son of former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, forwarded his resignation to Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, who has appointed him as the vice chairman on June 21.

The Pakistan Muslim League-N government had been facing severe criticism over the appointment of Arsalan Iftikhar as vice chairman of the Board of Investment. The chief minister also had to face pressure in the matter.
